The Mashti Team

Homa
Founder
Hi, I’m Homa, the founder of Mashti Community. Born and raised in Iran, I learned early what it means to question expectations, break norms, and seek freedom where it isn’t easily given. That search has carried me across cultures and through many layers of self-discovery, shaping how I understand identity, sexuality, relationships, and the quiet power of inner work.
What remains constant is a commitment to live truthfully and keep learning. Every step, from challenging inherited beliefs to exploring new forms of intimacy and belonging, deepens my sense of what it means to be fully alive. I feel that my work, in all its evolving forms, is an expression of that journey: an invitation to stay curious, to feel deeply, and to keep expanding the possibilities of love and selfhood.
I am very excited about everything we will be creating together in our community.

Ioana
Panel Discussion & Workshop Facilitator
Hi, I’m Ioana and I’m a wizard of many trades. I have a background in neuroscience, I am a yoga and mindfulness facilitator, and I’m passionate about holding loving space for humans to unfold and find their way back home to themselves. As a queer and an immigrant, I’m also very passionate about identity, and the way we choose to define ourselves and our surroundings.
In my work with Mashti, I’ll be switching between my witch hat and my nerd hat. I’ll be leading workshops, classes, and journeys that help us tap into the deeper layers of ourselves, working with everything from fear and anger to love and connection. The panel discussions will be all about the real, lived experiences of the queers, immigrants, neurodivergents and everyone else who feels like they don’t belong in a neat little box.
Looking forward to meeting you all!

Cecilie
Panel Discussion Facilitator
Hi, I’m Cecilie – an anthropologist, a feminist, and a transnational soul who feels most at
home in communities with a mix of nationalities and life trajectories. I have spent my life
living in different countries, working with and studying gender issues in different ways. I also
have a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Oxford, where I studied masculinity and
gender relations in the Pakistani middle class. My PhD research has made me a firm believer
in the importance of working with men to understand their lives and experiences in order to
create a gender equal society for everyone.
With Mashti, I aim to merge my interests in masculinity and sexuality, to explore issues of
sexuality, masculinity, and gender from different angles. I hope to facilitate spaces where
we can openly reflect on masculinity and men’s lives together, with the purpose of greater
understanding and self-discovery.

Brita
Panel Discussion Facilitator
Hi, I’m Brita, and I’ll be hosting discussion panels for you.
My journey into kink and polyamory sparked a transformative exploration of sexuality and self-discovery. This experience taught me the value of open conversations, curiosity, and challenging societal norms. With a passion for fostering understanding and connection, I’m excited to guide thought-provoking discussions that encourage learning and new perspectives. Drawing on my own journey, I aim to create a safe and inclusive space where we can all explore and grow together.
I look forward to connecting with you during the panels. Welcome to the conversation!

Thomas
Panel Discussion & Workshop Facilitator
Hi, I’m Thomas, a teacher, Gestalt therapist, and couples therapist with a deep passion for how we grow and transform through conversation and inquiry. I believe that by asking the right questions and engaging in open dialogue, we can challenge ourselves, explore new dimensions of our identity, and create meaningful change.
With Mashti, I aim to help foster a space for growth, an environment where people feel supported in exploring and expanding their personal boundaries in a way that is safe, intentional, and empowering. As both an educator and therapist, I’m passionate about cultivating spaces where learning and self-discovery go hand in hand, curiosity is encouraged, and our understanding of ourselves and one another deepens. A key part of this work includes hosting panel discussions on exploring sex-positive spaces, creating opportunities for open and thoughtful conversations about intimacy, connection, and self-expression.
I’m excited to be part of this journey and look forward to the conversations we’ll share!

Cansu
Workshop Facilitator
Hi, I’m Cansu, pronounced Djansou, but you can call me Su.
I walk the edge of illusory dualities: science and spirit, shadow and light, sensation and stillness. With a background in neuropsychology and a devotion to Tantra and shamanic practice, I’ve spent years weaving knowledge with intuition, analysis with embodiment. Dance, breath, ritual, and altered states of consciousness are my portals into mystery. I explore the divine through worship, surrender, and play, sometimes gentle, sometimes fierce. There is beauty in the shadow, freedom in rebellion, and all is allowed when done with love and consciousness.
At Mashti, I hold spaces where emotional, sensual, and spiritual alchemy unfold. Where truth is felt in the body, the soul finds form through sound and movement, and we meet ourselves, wild, raw, and real, and dare to call it holy. Let’s meet there!

Erlend
Panel Discussion Facilitator
Hi, I’m Erlend, a forest spirit with a passion for building community, creating transformative events, and challenging societal norms. I study cognitive neuroscience, work in harm reduction and drug education, and have been leading the Student Association for Psychedelic Science (SFPV) in Oslo since 2022, working to foster informed discussions around altered states and their impact on the human experience.
With Mashti, I want to dive deeper into the intersections of consciousness, sexuality, and well-being, using panel discussions and lectures as a space to explore, question, and expand perspectives. I believe in the power of open dialogue, shared knowledge, and community-driven exploration, and I’m always open to collaborations that align with these values.
I’m excited to embark on this journey with you and see where it takes us!

Kari
Panel Discussion & Workshop Facilitator
Hi, I’m Kari, a gestalt psychotherapist working with individuals, couples, and groups. My approach is rooted in relational awareness, exploring how we impact and are impacted by the relationships around us. I integrate talk therapy, body-based practices, and creative expression, with a focus on gender, sexuality, and relational diversity.
At Mashti, I bring my experience in supporting people navigating non-monogamy and polyamory, while creating inclusive spaces for all relationship paths through workshops and talks.

Fredrik
Panel Discussion Facilitator
Hi, I’m Fredrik Bekkby, I also go by the DJ alias Huxby.
I’m an activist in the Norwegian rave community, a devoted sound enthusiast, and an entrepreneur in the underground techno scene.
I fell in love with the rave world nearly a decade ago and have since been DJing and providing Funktion-One sound for events across Oslo. My connection to Funktion-One began through the German and Dutch scenes and deepened while living in Amsterdam.
At Mashti, I curate and host the Artist Deep Dive panels, conversations that explore the stories, insights, and creative processes behind the music. This series bridges the gap between artist and audience, while celebrating the shared spirit of our rave community.
